Transforming the University’s Heating System
Reducing Carbon Emissions, Improving Energy Efficiency, and Maintaining Resiliency
Campus community forums were held in spring term 2023 on April 25 and May 1 and in the fall of 2023 on October 24 for students, faculty, and all employees to learn more about the Thermal Heating Study and share feedback. The forums were co-hosted by the Associated Students of the University of Oregon (ASUO), the Thermal Systems Task Force, the Office of Finance & Administration, and the Office of Sustainability. UO representatives gave a presentation to share the goals of the study and the options for transforming the university’s heating system in Eugene to achieve sustainability goals.
