Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2021-22 school year’s collection events.

Together with your hard work preparing plastics and partnering with Lane County Waste Management:

• We recycled 27.5 cubic yards of plastics (approx. 1 ton by weight).
• 200 event attendees brought plastics from over 500 community members.

The Office of Sustainability collection events will be on hiatus for the foreseeable future due to upcoming staff changes and recent changes to plastics accepted in curbside programs.

Check out Lane County's page for updated information on what materials can be recycled and in what condition. We also recommend the short video on the Community Recycling Program on the Lane County website. The video reminds all of us, participants and collectors, that correct and consistent preparation is key successfully recycling these materials. The Office of Sustainability is pleased to be a registered community collector for Lane County's plastics collection efforts.
