If you no longer need your university keys, please return them in one of the following ways:
On campus through campus mail:
- Attach the keys to a piece of paper or an index card to prevent them from ripping through the envelope.
- Include your name and 95# with the keys.

Off campus through a mail carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx)
- Attach the keys to a piece of paper or an index card to prevent them from ripping through the envelope.

Departmental authorized requester
- Return the key(s) to your departmental authorized requester
- The authorized key requester can request a pick-up by the Lock & Door Shop
Refunds
- If the individual paid a deposit, their refund will be the same amount as the deposit initially paid
- Refunds will be issued by direct deposit or check (faculty, staff, vendor), or billing account (student)
- If the key holder's department paid the key(s), then the department will be refunded through their index, not the key holder
- Please allow 4-6 weeks to process the refund
Student Billing:
- If the student has a negative balance on their account, the refund will be applied toward paying off that balance
- If the student account is paid in full, their account will have a credit balance
- The student can request that the funds be sent to them OR
- The Accounts Receivable office will submit the credit balances with end-of-term procedures.
