GRI Standards Training: Sustainability Reporting for Organizations - Online Course
Offered in partnership with Arizona State University, participants "in this GRI Standards Certified Training Online Course will become familiar with the GRI Standards, the first and most widely adopted global standards for sustainability reporting." The course is online and self-paced. A limited number of free course registrations are available to UO students.
Greenhouse Gas Emissions Accounting - Micro-Course
A self-paced course, offered by the UO Office of Sustainability, overviewing how to do a greenhouse gas emissions inventory. Business, governments, colleges and universities, and others often work to determine what, exactly, is their individual carbon footprint. This course will teach you the basics to answer this question. This course is valuable professional learning for students and others who want to pursue sustainability careers or further sustainability wherever they work. The course is fully online, self-paced, and free to the UO community.
United Nations Sustainable Develpoment Network
The UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) mobilizes scientific and technical expertise from academia, civil society, and the private sector to support practical problem solving for sustainable development at local, national, and global scales. The SDSN has been operating since 2012 under the auspices of the UN Secretary-General. The SDSN is building national and regional networks of knowledge institutions, solution-focused thematic networks, and the SDG Academy, and the SDG Academy, its flagship online education initiative.
Washington Oregon Higher Education Sustainability Conference (WOHESC)
WOHESC is an annual, regional conference focused on sustainability in higher education. UO Sustainability sponsors the conference each year, supports program development, and provides participation opportunities for students, faculty, and staff.
Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE)
AASHE is the leading national organization for higher education sustainability professionals. The UO's AASHE membership gives us access to a resource hub and online community as well as discounted rates to the annual conference. AASHE also manages the Sustainability Tracking Assessment and Rating System (STARS), with which the UO and other institutions measure and report our sustainability performance in academics, engagement, operations, and planning and administration.
