Housing Residence Hall Student Access
- For keys and card access into Housing buildings, students must contact their Housing Service Center.
- Located where they receive their mail.
Specifics
- Key Authorized Requesters may order keys to academic university facilities for UO and non-UO affiliates using the key portal UO Doors.
- Any person or department to whom university keys are issued accepts responsibility for promptly notifying their immediate supervisor if the key(s) are lost or stolen.
Key Authorized Requester
- Departments and Academic Units must designate who is authorized to request access to their spaces for students, faculty, staff, and other affiliates of the UO.
- Key requests will only be processed when submitted by the designated employees.
- Submit the Authorization Form before submitting key orders:
- Request this form by emailing keyaccess@uoregon.edu;
- Fill it out entirely with the required signatures
- Return by either campus:

Lock and Door Shop
or scan and email back to keyaccess@uoregon.edu
Once the form is submitted, the Lock & Door Shop will grant portal access to new personnel.
⚠️Update the Authorization Form as personnel changes occur.
Ordering Keys
- Use the key portal UO Doors to order keys.
- Please allow at least 1-2 days between the time of initial order and scheduled delivery.
Fees
- There is no fee for the first initial key(s) to a key holder.
- All replacement keys require a payment from the key holder’s department, paid by index.
- Department consignment keys are designated for use by individuals not assigned to a specific person. These keys are maintained by the department, including spare keys, those in key boxes, or for researchers with frequent turnover of student assistants.
- Both replacement and department consignment keys require a non-refundable fee to be paid by department index.
- The amount varies depending on the type of key issued, as seen below:

Special Keys
- Grand master and master keys shall be issued only upon the written authorization of the Associate Vice President for Campus Planning and Facilities Management or designee.
