This testing to allows for critical utility maintenance and testing.

Units should shut down any equipment that can be powered down. Day 2 the entire campus will be impacted for island mode testing.

Island Mode Testing

8:00 am – 8:15 am
CTG already running and ready
8:00 am remove EWEB power loss of campus power
+10 sec: diesel generators autostart
          STBY 1 and STBY 2 energize
8:00 am – 8:05 am data and monitor
8:05 am initiate island mode
8:05 am – 8:10 am data and monitor
8:10 am – 8:15 am restore to EWEB power
8:15 am commence building restoration*

* Lillis, Fenton, Onyx Bridge, Mac Court, Oregon Hall, LLC, Streisenger, PLC, Knight Library, McKenzie, Willamette, and Knight Law contain electrical switching equipment that will automatically reset between 10-30 minutes after permanent electrical power is restored.  This resetting action will result in a brief (5-10 second) additional outage.

This utility maintenance is critical for the continued safe operation of the campus electrical system.
