- For keys and card access into Housing buildings, students must contact their Housing Service Center.
- Located where they receive their mail.
UO ID Cards
To receive your UO ID card, visit the ID Card Services Office:
- Ground floor, Erb Memorial Union (EMU)
emu.uoregon.edu/card - Card access requests are processed daily
- No fee for prox access
Cards automatically expire if unused for 365 days
Academic & Departmental Access
Authorized Requesters
Departments and academic units must designate authorized employees to request access for students, faculty, staff, and affiliates.
How to Become an Authorized Requester:
- Request the Authorization Form by emailing keyaccess@uoregon.edu
- Complete the form with all required signatures
- Return by either campus:
- Attention: Access Control Program Specialist

or scan and email back to keyaccess@uoregon.edu
Requesting Card Access
For any change to a user's access—whether adding or removing—submit the online access request form:
- Fill out the form completely
- Submit electronically
- A confirmation email will be sent for your records

Personnel Updates
- Keep your department’s Authorization Form up to date as staffing changes occur. This ensures access requests are processed smoothly and securely.
Access Modifications
- Use the online form for all access changes:
- Add or remove access for students, staff, faculty, or affiliates
- Submit the form electronically
- Receive a confirmation email for your records
Emergency Access Situations
If you're facing an access-related emergency, contact the Key and Access Office immediately at keyaccess@uoregon.edu
After hours, weekends, or holidays:
- Contact the Security Operations Center at 541-346-2919
- For immediate danger, dial 9-1-1
Examples of urgent issues:
- Sensitive HR situations
- Immediate access is needed to labs housing animals or time-sensitive experiments
