Introducing UO Doors: A New Era for Key Requests

The Key and Access Office is thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new key request portal: UO Doors. Developed in collaboration with the Location Innovation Lab, this modern platform is your one-stop shop for managing all things keys—from ordering and delivery to tracking, auditing, and returns.

What is UO Doors?

UO Doors is built on the UO Spaces platform and explicitly designed for departmentally authorized requesters. In this first phase, the portal focuses on new key requests, offering intuitive tools to help you manage your unit’s keys more efficiently. 


Why You'll Love It

  • Simple & Streamlined: Log in with your DuckID, enter the name of the person who needs access and the locations they need keys for—we’ll take care of the rest.
  • Direct Delivery: Keys will be delivered straight to your office. No more trips to the EMU!
  • Digital Signatures: Key recipients will sign digitally upon delivery.
  • Error-Free Experience: You can’t do anything wrong—we’re here to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Operational Changes

With the launch of UO Doors, we’re also making some exciting operational updates:

  • Key delivery replaces in-person pickup at the EMU
  • No more physical Key Issuance forms
  • The Key and Access Office is relocating from the EMU to the Campus Planning and Facilities Management Lock and Door Shop

These changes are designed to make the key ordering process more efficient for all departments.
