Sustainability Faculty Fellowship Application

University of Oregon Sustainability Faculty Fellowship Program Application

Faculty members interested in sustainability and community-engaged learning are encouraged to apply for a Sustainability Faculty Fellowship offered by the Office of Sustainability. The Fellowship connects faculty with community partners and provides fellows with a network of colleagues who seek to incorporate issues of sustainability into their curricula.

To apply, provide responses to the following prompts by Friday, January 18th, 2019 (aka, Friday of week 2). Responses can be sent via emailed attachment or in the body of an email. Send your completed application to program manager Sarah Stoeckl, sstoeckl@uoregon.edu.

1. Provide your name, full title, UO program or department, email address, and phone number.

2. Provide a brief overview of how you would like to integrate community-engaged learning around the issue of sustainability into your curriculum. What course or courses do you have in mind?

3. Briefly describe your previous experiences with community-engaged learning in training and/or in practice. Please note that previous experience is neither a requirement nor a preferred qualification.

4. Part of the goal of the Fellowship is to support partnerships between faculty and community organizations. With which specific community partners, if any, would you like to work? If you do not have a specific community partner in mind, what kinds of partner organizations or focus areas interest you?

Questions about the program, its opportunities, and requirements can be sent to Sarah Stoeckl at sstoeckl@uoregon.edu.
