Students who attend Coast Conscious will spend four days along the edge of the Pacific Ocean. We’ll start off in Newport, examining different fishing methods and talking to folks who make their living from the ocean harvest. As we make our way south, we’ll visit the Oregon Institute of Marine Biology, examine the possibilities of wave energy, and spend plenty of time around beach bonfires and on coastal hiking trails. We’ll spend two nights camping and one night staying in dorm-style residences.
