Transportation Planning

During the recent Land Use Code update process in Eugene, the UO worked with City staff to ensure that the Code provisions would be flexible enough to meet the University's unique needs. The Bicycle Management Program was created to act as an adjustment to the bicycle parking requirements contained in Section 9.8030(9) of the Eugene Land Use Code.

The UO Bicycle Plan establishes a framework of policies, circulation routes, parking facilities, educational information, and enforcement guidelines to encourage use of bicycles and to make the campus as safe as possible for the whole University community, including pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. The Designated Bicycle Routes Map outlines the routes for bicycles across campus.

The Long Range Campus Transportation Plan contains the long range transportation goals of the University and the policies for reaching these long-term goals.
