The Department of Physical Education and Recreation serves the UO community by offering high-quality health and fitness facilities and classes to more than 5,000 people daily. The Office of Sustainability collected and analyzed environmental, social, and economic data for the Student Recreation Center and adjoining facilities as it prepared for a 150,000 square foot expansion and renovation project. By establishing indicators and collecting baseline data, the Office of Sustainability helped PE and Rec understand its impacts and identify opportunities for improvement.
