Spring Break 2020 Power Outage Information

 

During spring break, the University of Oregon will be conducting an electrical maintenance and testing project, which will entail planned, short duration power outages in most buildings on campus. The project will take place on the mornings of Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24.

Units should shut down any equipment that can be powered down. If you are unsure if your equipment can be powered down, is critical and cannot be powered down or if you need assistance preparing for the outage, please fill out the Safety and Risk Services continuity survey by selecting the button below.

8:00 am remove EWEB power loss of campus power
+10 sec: diesel generators autostart
          STBY 1 and STBY 2 energize
8:00 am – 8:05 am data and monitor
8:05 am initiate island mode
8:05 am – 8:10 am data and monitor
8:10 am – 8:15 am restore to EWEB power
8:15 am commence building restoration

This utility maintenance is critical for the continued safe operation of the campus electrical system.
