- 0700 – Start Turbine – Purge.
- 0730 – Close turbine breaker to the grid.
- Monitor turbine for 5 minutes.
- 0735 - Initiate Island Mode and stabilize generation.
- Monitor power generation for load sharing.
- While not anticipated, some buildings may briefly lose power when the switch occurs if a portion of the system does not perform as expected.
- 0745 – De-energize Feeder 1.
- Affected buildings will experience a power outage lasting approximately 1 hour.
- During this time, Utilities and Energy staff will disconnect power in a vault for a switch replacement project and exchange the feeder breaker.
- Crews will then ensure systems are successfully back online.
- 0900 – De-energize Feeder 10.
- Swap feeder breaker with spares in SH.
- Energize breaker after swap.
- Restore buildings controls and access issues
- 1000 - De-energize Standby 2. (No effect to campus).
- Swap feeder breaker with spares in SH.
- Energize breaker after swap.
- 1100 – Continue to operate in Island mode for 1 hour.
- Gather data with island power generation with new TES tank.
- 1200 – Initiate Normal power configuration.
- 1300 - De-brief.
